Atwo day festival of free arts and music events for the whole community is coming to Kelvingrove Bandstand in September.
The Fox Star Music and Arts Festival is being staged over the holiday weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September.
The free event will feature a fantastic range of live music from leading local artists and organisations, with big band and funk, bhangra, blues and choral, and much more.

There will also be poetry readings, children’s art workshops and lots of chances to join in – and everything is free and un-ticketed.
With activity from 12 noon to 10pm on the Saturday and 12 noon to 7pm on the Sunday, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Musical highlights will include Eugene Kelly, the BMX Bandits, Warren & the Starry Skies, Berrie Big Band, the Mossa Funk Club, and New Rhythms for Glasgow.
More artists will be announced in the run up to the festival as the line-up continues to grow.
Among those also appearing is Jim Carruth, Glasgow’s Poet Laureate, who will perform a poem inspired by Kelvingrove Bandstand.
Yvonne Kincaid from the Fox Star Collective said the weekend promised to be an exciting event in the West End calendar.
She said: "It's going to be a two-day free event for the whole family. We are aiming at youngsters and the older generations.
"We have a full stage programme of entertainments that will start at 12 noon on each day."
A range of children’s art workshops based on the theme of the environment, reuse and the River Kelvin will take place over both days led by the Friends of the River Kelvin.
Sally Johnston, with the community charity, said her organisation was delighted to be involved for the second year with the festival.
She said: "We are back with Friends of the River Kelvin being one of the main charities involved, bringing environmental aspects to the audience.
"We are talking about the river and the importance of the river in our city, and doing lots of upcylcying, recycling, crafts projects with kids and adults during the day."
The weekend begins with a Tai Chi warm up for everyone led by Larry Butler at 11.30am on the Saturday.
To help keep everyone refreshed a range of bar and street food will also be available to purchase throughout the weekend.
