A new body of work by a contemporary Scottish artist will go on show in the West End this weekend.
Eleanor Carlingford, a graduate of The Glasgow School of Art, has a new collection of paintings that looks at the movement of people between nations.
Born in Northern Ireland, the former journalist and writer explores a theme close to her own experience.
The collection is being shown at Art Pistol in Cresswell Lane this Saturday. The event starts at 2pm.
Gallery owner Suzie Carter told Glasgow West End Today: "Eleanor is back on the Art Pistol walls with a beautiful body of work exploring Celtic emigration.
"It's very painterly and considered work and right up our street, as it feels a wee bit different and is very engaging."
Literature for the show describes the works as "distinctively loose and free, aesthetically tight and considered".
It adds: "Allow an alluring explosion of colours to pull you into the intriguing moments Eleanor Carlingford has confidently found with her latest body of work.
"It’s been a while, but it’s absolutely been worth the wait."
The gallery says all are welcome. Drinks will be served.
