The development got the go-ahead earlier this year despite local opposition.

Developers today released more details about the interiors of the properties.

Top interior designer John Amabile Design is in charge of the makeovers across the development of 98 one, two, three and four-bedroom homes.

The Glasgow-born designer said: “The fusion of comfort, style and city dwelling allows for an enviable and desirable series of interiors worthy of the impressive Park Quadrant Residences and it’s fantastic to be involved at this early stage to influence all of the design elements, not just the finishing.

“The scale and window detailing, as well as the internal finish of each apartment, have allowed us to play with a range of textures, colours and forms to create an architectural feel, enhancing the surroundings of the residences, as well as the geographical area itself.

“From the cool blues and dusky greys of our ever-changing Scottish skies, to the warmth of natural highland finishes and simplistic bleached coastal woods, each apartment will incorporate the flexibility and beauty of open plan living.”

Developers say the new buildings will complete the original concentric ringed design of the 19th century footprint set out by architect Charles Wilson in 1851.

The eleven buildings have been designed to be sympathetic to the area’s rich heritage, according to developers.

Natural sandstone will be used to complement materials used within Park Circus.

All of the homes will have 2.9m ceiling height, full height bay windows, oversized internal doors and generously proportioned room sizes, akin to living spaces in the Park Circus area.

Gordon Coster, director at Ambassador Developments Park Quadrant Limited, said; “Our collection of apartments, duplexes and penthouses at Park Quadrant Residences will be some of the most luxurious in the country, combining traditional architecture with contemporary interiors.

“The interiors are being curated by John Amabile Design and will use the remarkable scale of the properties to illustrate the impressive level of finish that can be achieved and will cater to a range of buyers to help them envisage life at the development.”

The duplex apartments will offer private gardens and rear terraces, providing luxury living over two floors, while the exclusive penthouse collection will span the entire floor of each block.

It will showcase dramatic vaulted ceilings and full width roof terraces to offer extensive outdoor living space and views of the city.

Prices at Park Quadrant Residences start from £395,000. For further information visit www.pqresidences.com
