Missing person: 'Thomas’ family have had to endure a Christmas without him there'

He is described as white, around 5ft 11 inches in height and of slim build with brown hair.

A new photograph has been released of a young man from Maryhill who has not been seen since last month.

Thomas Keenan has been missing since Tuesday 21 November.

The 21-year-old, of Kelvinside Avenue, was last seen at about 5.50am on Tuesday 21 November at the Esso service station on Maryhill Road.

He is described as white, around 5ft 11 inches in height and of slim build with brown hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing a pair of dark shorts with the Nike logo on the left leg, a red t-shirt with a black motif on the front, and white and black trainers.

Chief Inspector Vicky Little is based at Maryhill Police Office.

She said: “Thomas’ family have now had to endure a Christmas without him and are going into the New Year with no further information on where he is.

"His family are absolutely devastated by his disappearance and are extremely concerned for his safety and wellbeing.

“Extensive searches and enquiries are continuing to trace Thomas and officers have been assisted by a number of specialist resources including the police helicopter, dog unit and specialist search advisors.

"Posters and leaflets have also been distributed in the local area.

“A number of photos have been released however officers and his family are hoping this new image will help jog people’s memory and bring new information which could help us trace him.”

Chief Inspector Little added: “We are also continuing to try and identify a woman who found a wallet and mobile phone near to the forecourt of the Esso Service Station at 900 Maryhill Road, Glasgow on Tuesday 21 November 2017.

"A further appeal was also issued to anyone with a dash cam in their vehicle who would have been driving in the area of Queen Margaret Drive and Bilsland Drive, Glasgow between 0400hrs and 0700hrs on the same date.

“If anyone has information that will help us find Thomas, please get in touch.

"Any detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem to you, could prove useful in our ongoing efforts to trace Thomas.”
