41-year-old man found stabbed and lying injured in Cumlodden Drive in Maryhill

The incident happened on Sunday May 13 at around 2am.

A man was found injured in the road after being attacked in a flat.

Police said the 41-year-old victim suffered a stab wound to the body and facial laceration.

The incident happened on Sunday May 13 at around 2am.

He was found lying seriously injured in Cumlodden Drive, Maryhill.

Police said he had been assaulted within a flat and common close and then made his way out onto the roadway.

He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated.

Hospital staff described his condition as stable.

Detective Constable Maxine Shields is based at Maryhill Police Office.

She said: “I would urge anyone who was in the Cumlodden Drive area of Maryhill around 2am on Sunday morning, who witnessed anything suspicious, or who has information that may assist our investigation to come forward."
