Hundreds enjoyed dancing on the day - and now it seems tens of thousands more tapped into the fun around the world.
The Outdoor Ceilidh at the piazza outside Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum last Sunday was a highlight of the West End Festival.
Glaswegians and visitors came together to enjoy dances such as the Dashing White Sergeant and the Gay Gordons.
The music was led by the Glasgow Folk-Music Workshop and band leader Finlay Allison.
Glasgow West End Today was there to capture the fun via a Facebook Live video.
That film has now been viewed more than 100,000 times - including by thousands of Scots around the world.
The film was shared more than 1,100 times and received over 1,600 likes.
Finlay said: "Of all the years we have been doing the outdoor ceilidh at Kelvingrove, that was the best attended it's ever been.
"What is amazing is seeing the tourists go past on the open-decked buses thinking 'is this what these folk do all the time?"
He added: "It's great that the film has been seen by so many people.
"I know there will be a lot of ex-pat Scots who will see if with a tear in their eye."
The GFW teaches a wide range of musical instruments - accordion, banjo, bodhran, cello, fiddle, guitar, harmonica, mandolin, whistle and ukulele.
Last year, the GFW had over 430 members enjoying music together.
Among those tuning in to the film in recent days were Scots abroad.
Eleanor Quinn messaged from Germany saying: "Glasgow born and lived not far from the Art Galleries now watching from Berlin! Keep dancing x"
Bob Small wrote: "Watching from Cairns Australia Love this."
Ina Bogan commented: "Watching from Mississauga Ontario Canada."
Margaret Hillcoat: "Love it from Adelaide Oz."
And Jacqueline McDonald wrote: "Watching from Niagara falls Canada.. heading home for a wee shindig after seeing this.."
Liz Scobie, chairman of the West End Festival, said she was delighted at the success of the ceilidh.
She said: “The outdoor ceilidh at Kelvingrove has continued to grow.
"Perhaps as we’ve been able to use video and ‘live’ on social media to show people what was happening and how much fun they could be having.

"Glasgow Folk-Music Workshop has organised this event for the last few years and this year was definitely the biggest.
"The sun was out and everyone had a proper Glasgow jig.”
