A family law firm that has offered 600 free wills and raised thousands of pounds for charity has been honoured for its work.
Scullion LAW has offices in Hamilton and in the West End of Glasgow.
The firm moved into premises on Dumbarton Road 18 months ago.
At the Scottish Legal Awards last week, Scullion LAW was given a standing ovation when it picked up the ‘Commitment to the Community’ award.
Scullion LAW client care manager Charmaine Trainor said: “I am absolutely delighted that Scullion LAW have won such a prestigious award.
“We truly care about our community and the people that live and work around us.
‘Care and energy’
“It just goes to show that despite our small marketing budgets the investment of our time, passion, care and energy is worth its weight in gold.”
Staff have taken part in Sleep in the Park to raise money and awareness of homelessness.
The firm, which prides itself on being a dementia-friendly service, also works with Alzheimer Scotland and Marie Curie.
Scullion LAW recently launched its annual free wills service in aid of Marie Curie.
Nicholas Scullion MD said: “Scullion LAW believe that everyone should forward plan and make a will and power of attorney.
“We encourage everyone in the local area to do so, and as part of our commitment to the local community we are running our annual free will campaign from now until the end of May.
“This offer is available to everyone throughout Scotland – aged 55 and over.
“If couples are creating a mirror will then only one person needs to be 55 to qualify.
‘Above and beyond’
“We support Marie Curie because it is a charity close to our hearts.”
Diana McLeish Scullion LAW’s marketing manager and community champion said: “The community is at the heart of everything we do.
“We are small enough to know what is going on in the local area and we feel it is our duty to go above and beyond, because we are more than just a law firm.”
