UK's largest Halloween event GlasGLOW to return to Botanic Gardens in October

This year organisers itison, the Glasgow-based deals and events company, is hoping to bring in 100,000 visitors.

A popular West End festival is returning in the autumn - and it promises to be bigger and better.

Last year a sell-out GlasGLOW attracted 75,000 people to the Botanic Gardens.

This year organisers itison, the Glasgow-based deals and events company, is hoping to bring in 100,000 visitors.

An entirely new show will run from October 25 to November 3 - during which time the clocks change and the dark nights draw in.

GlasGLOW will transform the Botanic Gardens into a series of immersive worlds.

itison says it has assembled a world class production team and is increasing its investment to £750,000 to make the show even "bigger, better and glowier" in its second year.

'Positive impact'

Oli Norman is a West End resident and founder of GlasGLOW and CEO of itison.

“Last year we were just warming up.

"This year’s looking epic and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.

"We’re also introducing a major community element to give back, so with every GLOW we can create a lasting positive impact; more will be revealed soon.”

Elements of the show are still under wraps, but itison will be revealing trailers over the coming days with hints of what you can expect.

This year’s route is set to be longer at approx. ninety minutes and will introduce more immersive and interactive elements.

itison's series of Drive In Movies events has attracted over 200,000 people to screenings of iconic movies in matching locations.

The Harry Potter films were shown against the stunning mountain backdrop of Glencoe, Jaws by the sea at Troon, Top Gun at Edinburgh Airport and Christmas classics every December at Loch Lomond Shores which sell out within minutes.
