A popular independent market is to start trading at The Pyramid in Anderston.
Super Market Glasgow has become a firm favourite with shoppers looking to spend with local designers, makers and artists.
Since starting two years ago, the market has traded at a series of small boutique markets throughout the city - at Drygate, Hillhead Bookclub and SneakerCafe.
Super Market’s biggest events will continue at Tramway where it returns on Saturday 4 & Sunday April 5.
Soon after will follow the launch of its new West End home within The Pyramid on Saturday May 16 & Sunday 17.
The event will include over 80 small businesses, community partners, creative workshops, children activities and Scotland best Street Food.
Art & design
Super Market Glasgow says shoppers will be treated to the very best in Scottish businesses with art, design, fashion, vintage & antiques, homeware, plants & flowers, food produce, zero waste products and vegan products in this unique venue.
The Pyramid at Anderston - just next to the Finneston Strip in the West End - is an iconic venue with many people recognising the big green unusually shipped roof.
The building was completed in 1968, as part of the redevelopment of the Anderston area and acted as a place of worship until recent years.
The B-listed church was bought and given back to the community in 2019 and is designed as a place "for people to connect, create and celebrate”.
Super Market will host a regular event within the space and this will contribute to the group's fundraising efforts, directly supporting the community groups that use the building and help with ongoing regeneration works.
The building inside is beautiful example of 1970s design and has many of its original features.
The centre is now a place ‘about people coming together to share their interests, skills, ideas and creativity to support each other and contribute to community life’.
Super Market regularly attracts more than 1500 visitors a day.
