The West End Festival has been cancelled as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Organisers said they were "disappointed to announce the decision" and offered a "virtual hug" to friends and supporters.
The 25th annual festival had been due to get under way on May 29 for four weeks.
A post from the Festival team read: "The 25th Annual West End Festival has been CANCELLED indefinitely because of the current health emergency.
"We are all very disappointed to announce this decision, but it will not surprise you or the tens of thousands who enjoy the Festival and the thousands of artists and performers who take part each June.
"The WEF will return in better and safer days when we’ll all be able to celebrate with the worst behind us.
"Meanwhile a virtual hug to all our many friends and supporters.
"Best wishes, Liz, Michael and the rest of the festival team"

More businesses have announced full temporary closure.
Eusebi Deli on Park Road had been running a takeaway service over the weekend.
On Monday, the bistro said it was closing and "pausing now".
All remaining produce will be given to @FShareGlasgow.
'Hard decision'
The message thanked customers "for your incredible support".
It added: "2 our team it felt like winning the cup final ! So proud of u all #andratuttobene".
TriBeCa Diner in Dumbarton Road, Partick, was another business that had been trying to get by with deliveries.
A post read: "This was an extremely hard decision for us to make however, we know it is for the best and want to thank everyone for their fantastic support."
Meanwhile, the Glasgowist online magazine has launched a crowdfunder to jointly help businesses, NHS and social care staff.
It said the fundraiser would pay for "deliveries from restaurant takeaways, supermarkets and community kitchens directly to hardworking staff to keep them going as they fight COVID19 for all of us".
It adds: "We’re observing strict social distancing but we want to help support those who are at the frontline, now more than ever".
Advice
All deliveries would be contactless and be within all government and local authority advice, it said.

As of Monday, the number of coronavirus deaths in Scotland has increased by four to 14.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has called on shops which do not provide essentials such as food or medicine to close.
