The first one to be unveiled is Ka Pao, which opened at Botanic Gardens Garage on Vinicombe Street just before lockdown.

Jonathan MacDonald, owner of Ka Pao said: “We are pleased to be partnering with itison at the beginning of their new home dining service.

"Our team of chefs are looking forward to returning to the kitchens, firing up the ranges at Ka Pao after an absence of over three months and preparing some of our most popular dishes.

'Recreate'

"It will be great to reintroduce Ka Pao’s food to the dining public of Glasgow – hopefully they haven’t forgotten about us, of course - and give people the chance to recreate Ka Pao dishes in their own homes.”

Customers will be able to enjoy Ka Pao's menu to plate up at home, with 7 dishes to share for £45.

Meals can either be collected from the restaurant just off Byres Road; or delivered directly to your door.

Ka Pao's meni will launch on the new service on June 25.

itison.com have invested in a new web portal for the service and are providing refrigerated vans for deliveries.

Oli Norman, CEO of itison said: “Scotland’s entire hospitality sector has been decimated by Covid, and it’s vital we all innovate to survive.

"Along with our partner restaurants we’re really excited to be investing in a new delivery and collection service with the best our amazing city has to offer.

“Itison was founded and flourished during the last recession.

"This time it’s very different with everyone being thrust into survival and start up mode, and just as we were determined to support local businesses then, the mission has become even more critical now.

“We’re really excited to have Ka Pao on board for the launch of itison at Home.
