A favourite West End bar and brasserie has re-opened after refurbishment and almost 200 days of closure.
Kelvingrove Cafe at 1161 Argyle Street has been extended at ground level to make better use of space.
A new raised dining area where the kitchen used to be now overlooks the ornate bar area.
The change around means more natural light can flood in from the back of the building as well as the front.
Meanwhile, the decor has had a make-over and a new menu has been introduced.
Owner Barry Oattes said he wants Kelvingrove Café to be Scotland’s leading Amaro bar and brasserie.
He said: “Our ambition is to be the best bar in Scotland for cocktails and casual dining, which is why we have invested so heavily in upgrading the venue.

The refurbishment makes the most of the building’s original architecture.
The new 240-sq-ftd dining space features versailles panelled tables, pine green Spanish plaster walls and imported Italian terracotta floor tiles.
A huge Crittall steel-framed window at the back floods the space in light.
The bar has revamped its cocktail list with a curated selection of 14 classic drinks, including a signature Bloody Mary.

The bar the first opened in 1896 and was once an ice-cream parlour and a favourite lunch spot for visitors to the then recently finished Kelvingrove Park.
In homage to the history of the building, the new menu features a delicious dessert menu curated by Minted (Byres Road, Glasgow) including a traditional Knickerbocker Glory, Peach Melba and Banana Split.
