Latest Byres Road venue offers juice for the soul and phone

Look out for free drinks and giveaways on Byres Road this weekend.

The gifts are courtesy of the West End’s latest business venture.

Superfood health bar 'Juicy' officially opens Friday at the former STA Travel premises.

The shop offers healthy pressed juices and nutritionally packed soups.

Customers also get charging points at each table and hot-desking freelancers are encouraged to use the store as a hub - once restrictions allow.

Its founder is hair and beauty salon owner Fallon Carberry who describes the outlet as a flagship store.

Fallon said: “It has been a really tough year for people both mentally and physically and we want to be part of the next chapter, to encourage people to come out of lockdown stronger and healthier than before. 

“We are so excited to confirm we will finally be opening our doors on the 14 May.

“We have been working non-stop with a brilliant team of contractors and have been perfecting the final menu selections and securing the right team for the front of house.”

The store’s interior is chic and simple with bespoke handmade oak tables designed by Glasgow based GS Projects.

Decor is minimal monochrome with New York inspired light boxes.

Fallon says she was inspired by her favourite restaurant Nobu Marbella, where she has a second home.

“Since we launched online we have been blown away by the support and demand from across the UK which we are extremely grateful for, but there is nothing quite like seeing and chatting to your customers in real life - that’s when you get the best feedback and ideas. 

“Byres Road and in fact the whole of the West End has a real vibrancy and buzz about it and we can't wait to be part of that.”

The first 50 Juicy customers on Friday (May 14) will get a free ginger shot and the Juicy team are planning sampling and giveaways across the opening weekend for local customers.
