Most of us are just dusting ourselves down after juggling all those commitments at Christmas.
But one Glasgow student has been juggling more than most - literally.
And not only has David Sosman been spending his holiday in Italy and Lanzarote entertaining the crowds with his circus act, he has even taken time out to perform for the Pope.
David has been participating at the Golden Circus Festival in Rome over the Christmas and New Year holiday.
It was during some down time just after Christmas that David got the chance to perform for a very special audience.
David, 24, said some of the performers were invited to perform for Pope Francis at the Paul IV Audience Hall at Vatican City.
"It was the 28th of December in the morning at his general audience assembly," David told Glasgow West End Today.
"It was an absolute honour and privilege to have someone of such a high status enjoy and appreciate my performance and my art."
David comes from a great circus dynasty.
He is the youngest son of the famous clown/comedian Eddy Sosman, and of the former trapeze artist Isabella Enoch.
David has been in the circus ring from a very young age with various types of acts.
During his two years at the acclaimed circus school, 'Accademia d'Arte Circense' in Italy, he specialized in the art of bounce juggling.
Since then he has travelled the world with his juggling act.
David added: "Right now I am performing on Lanzarote on the Canary Islands, and after that I will return to Rome to finish the competition at the Golden Circus Festival."
Although he is currently studying political science and history at the University of Glasgow, he does not put his act on standby.
Whenever he has a holiday or some spare time, he participates at special events, circus festivals, and shorter contracts.

Writing on his Facebook page ahead of his appearance in Rome, David said: "This will be my first time performing in #Rome, and first time that I perform in #Italy since I graduated from the Accademia D'Arte Circense in #Verona back in 2010.
"I am really looking forward to perform in the country where I started my juggling career, to visit the beautiful city, and to perform for the Italian audience."
