A young Glasgow author will be part of the literary offerings at a city book event later this month.
Chris McQueer is making a name for himself with his colloquial humour and wry observation.
Chris will be reading from his book 'Hings' when he appears at Partick Library as a guest of Glasgow Libraries.
Up until recently Chris was selling trainers in a shoe shop and before that cutting sandwiches in Subway.
His writing has been described as ‘Irvine Welsh meets Limmy’.
"I'm really enjoying the writing and looking forward to appearing at Partick Library.
"It's such a great event - libraries are such important places and we need to support them."
Chris's event for Book Week Scotland takes place on Thursday November 30.

The sixth nationwide celebration of books - November 27 to December 2 - is this year based around the theme of Nourish.
Acclaimed Northern Irish author Bernard MacLaverty kicks off celebrations with a visit to the iconic Mitchell Library on Monday, November 27.
Booker-prize shortlisted author and BAFTA Scotland award-winner MacLaverty will discuss his new work Midwinter Break, a tender, heart-rending tale that comes forty years after the author’s first masterpiece.
Former Scottish tennis international and Scottish National Coach, Judy Murray heads to The Mitchell Library on Tuesday, November 28.
Judy will discuss her extraordinary memoir Knowing the Score, charting the challenges she faced as she set about revolutionising British tennis.
Councillor David McDonald is chair of Glasgow Life.
He said: “Book Week Scotland offers the people of Glasgow the chance to head down to their local library and meet authors, other book fans and neighbours.
"Glasgow is a city of book lovers and I hope that Glaswegians city-wide will take the opportunity to pop into their local library during Book Week Scotland, and experience the joy of reading.”
On November 27, Hillhead Library will host the popular Book Quiz, complete with tea and cake for everyone, plus prizes for the winners.

Over in town, award-winning novelist, playwright and performer Alan Bissett heads to Library @ GoMA on Thursday, 30th November.
Book Week Scotland has a programme for young book worms too.
On Saturday, December 2 the youngest Glaswegians will be treated to magic and mischief as Vivian French heads to Knightswood Library, whilst over in The Mitchell legendary author of the Katie Morag series, Mairi Hedderwick and Thumble Tumble’s AH Proctor headline a fun-filled family day.
