Well, the forecasts were right - and the snow has brought wintry conditions to the city.
All schools were closed for the day, along with some attractions and a number of local businesses.
But many others went about the day as normal.

In Kelvingrove Park, local people tried their hand at snowboarding while dogs enjoyed running around in the white stuff.
The Met Office has issued a Red Alert for much of the central belt.
The next 24-hours promises to bring even more snow and sub-zero temperatures.
Meanwhile, homeless charities have been calling for people to look out for vulnerable people living in the open.
Social media has been full of snow pictures and images of the West End transformed overnight.

On the roads and rail, transport has been running, with some delays.
The Subway said it was business as usual and bus services have been running.
At Hyndland Station, customers were resigned to extensive delays and disruptions.
Road gritters have been out during the morning trying to keep the main roads clear in the west of the city.
