Tinderbox is waging war against food waste.
The coffee chain which has a cafe outlet on Byres Road has joined forces with the app Too Good To Go.
The new partnership aims to prevent unsold food from going in the bin.
Too Good To Go connects businesses that have unsold food with consumers who can save surplus food from going to waste.
It means Too Good To Go customers can rescue handmade sandwiches, salads, wraps, paninis, cakes and pastries from all six of Tinderbox’s stores across Glasgow.
Consumers simply download the free Too Good To Go app and search for nearby restaurants and retailers with leftover food.
They then purchase the food for a great price through the app, and collect it from the store.
Carlo Ventisei, managing director at Tinderbox, said: “Tinderbox has been serving the local Glasgow community since 1998.
