A race with a difference is being staged in the West End later this month.
Not only is OUTrun open to anyone regardless of ability, it also entices people to take part - with cake!
The event has been organised by Glasgow FrontRunners - a running group for the LGBTI community and their friends.
It takes place on Saturday August 19.
Runners follow a 5-mile chip-timed route through one of Glasgow’s most scenic and best-loved dear green places.
Starting at the Kelvingrove bandstand, the run takes you through Kelvingrove Park and along the Kelvin Walkway.
The underlying aim of the event is to raise awareness of LGBTI participation in sport.
A spokesman for the club said: "Most importantly the race is open to everyone.
"Due to the demand for the event we have just released extra places.
"Glasgow FrontRunners is a running group for the LGBTI community and their friends and has become the largest LGBTI running club in Scotland.
"The club offers a wide range of runs suitable for absolute beginners to long distance runners, and like all other running organistaions, offers support, advice and motivation to its members."
This year Glasgow FrontRunners are excited to be included in the jogscotland Challenge Series - events all around the country chosen to be particularly welcoming to newcomers.
And the cakes?
The spokesman said: "We runners love a bit of cake so there will be a home baking stall offering free cake to all runners and volunteers at the end of the run.
"All contributions are welcome and if you want to bring something along to share with your fellow runners please drop it at the stall before the race starts.
