A crime writer is raffling the chance for a local reader to appear in his next novel.
Paul Wandrum is offering a literary debut to one lucky winner as a way of raising money for Oxfam.
The raffle tickets are being sold through the Oxfam Book Shop on Byres Road.
The person drawn out of the hat will get the exclusive opportunity to be immortalised in print.
Inspired
Paul was inspired to offer the prize after taking part in the West End Book Festival earlier in the year.
Paul said: “Oxfam is a charity that I feel strongly about and admire all the great work that has been done and continues to be done to fight poverty and injustice across the world.”
Tickets cost £3 and are available from Oxfam’s Byres Road Bookshop.
The winning ticket will be drawn on Christmas Eve.

Paul’s first novel Demon’s Fare was self-published in the summer.
He also appeared at the Edinburgh Book Festival to publicise the book.
Born in Paisley, he has previously written and published three local history books.
